YMCA and Three Rivers District Council will be working in partnership to deliver programs within the Leavesden Country Park and The Abbots Langley Parish. We invite the community to become part of our program. The programs will change throughout the year and these will also be shared on social media.

Nia it is a fabulous way to get fit leaving you feeling Stronger, Leaner, More Energised and yet Relaxed….Amazing!  A complete body and mind workout. Suitable for all ages and abilities. It is low impact therefore its kind on the body. 

New Introductory to Nia classes starting Saturday Afternoons at YMCA Abbots Langley  15:30 to 16:30pm  Saturday 21st April 2018 £5 for the next 4 sessions . Free trial for first class.

Woodlands Community Building and Cafe

The building will host a café, a function room and toilets that the community can use through all seasons. The space will include indoor and outdoor seating so that visitors to Leavesden Country Park can relax while enjoying the wonderful surroundings.   The café will be a community facility offering affordable quality refreshments and food to eat in or take away.

The other half of the building is currently under discussion for use, with options of a martial arts studio, cycle hub, functions rooms for community activities, children’s activity centre and as the refurbishments is undertaken the YMCA will discuss with a number of interested parties to the best use of this area.

Woodlands Cycle Hub Opportunity

Fantastic opportunity to run a Cycle Hub at our brand new Centre in Leavesden Country Park to help support and develop cycling in the local community.

11 May 2018.

Woodland Community Building

The work on the Community Building is progressing and the following works have now been completed:

  • Ground works for utilities
  • Foundations for the new steps and access ramps
  • Removal of the old roof and internal walls
  • Clearing of all items within the building
  • Supporting steels have been installed
  • New ceiling joists have been fitted

Leavsden Country Park

Celebration for Leavesden Country Park

It’s time to celebrate in the Park. Three Rivers District Council has received a substantial grant of £582,900 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for an exciting project.  Thanks to money raised by National Lottery players and supported by the Three Rivers District Council and Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, the park will enjoy a wide range of new facilities and activities amounting to £1.1m.
