Location: Watford with occasional travel to Hemel Hempstead
£32,600 per annum /pro-rated salary £21,733
Monday – Thursday – 25 hours per week
Signpost provides counselling, coaching and other mental health support to young people aged 11-25 in South West Hertfordshire. Mainly run by volunteer counsellors, Signpost has helped countless young people facing difficulties ranging from anxiety, depression and family breakdowns to abuse, self-harm and suicidal thoughts and the demand for our service is only increasing. In 2017 we helped nearly 500 young people.
We have recently partnered with One YMCA to continue building our services aimed at supporting young people.
We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Lead which is a new role designed to provide leadership and clear accountability for the clinical function of the organisation. You will take responsibility for ensuring that clinical governance, clinical performance, effectiveness and quality are achieved through our team of administrators, clinical supervisors, and counsellors. As Clinical Lead you will be expected to attend Trustee Board meetings meaning an occasional requirement for working outside normal hours. There will also be some on-call cover required to provide support for the management of urgent safeguarding issues
The successful applicant will be a qualified counsellor/therapist with extensive clinical experience including work with young people and the management of safeguarding issues. You will need to be organised, focused, pay attention to detail and be able to work well under pressure. Ideally, you will also have experience within a similar role and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the complexity and processes within a counselling services setting.
Although this role will be predominantly based at our offices in Watford, there will be travel to our Hemel Hempstead site and other locations around Hertfordshire. Access to your own transport and a full driving licence is essential for this role.
The successful applicant will lead on the recruitment, training and retention of our clinical delivery teams, developing a clinical strategy and build relationships with our partner organisations to ensure that Signpost’s therapeutic services are always working to the best and most effective practice.
