Location: One YMCA, Crest Road, High Wycombe, HP11 1UD
Salary: £21,879 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week

Shifts are on a rota basis and include early mornings, late evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays + a weekend double shift once a month (early shifts are 8am – 4pm, evening shifts are 2pm – 10pm & double shifts are 8am – 10pm)


One YMCA is seeking a confident, resilient and motivated individual, with extensive supported housing experience to join our housing team.
This job is responsible for providing housing support in a high-quality housing service at our 125-bed housing service, supporting homeless individuals over 18 months to two years to move on into safe accommodation and a stable lifestyle.
The job is part of a team providing personal counselling, support and enablement to people with a variety of support needs, including those with mental health issues, offenders, family breakdown and alcohol/drug issues.
This role requires working flexible hours in accordance with the rota, that are negotiated with the line manager, and that are in line with the needs of the service users.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

An understanding of the problems facing homeless people, homelessness issues and experience of working with a vulnerable client group
Relevant Housing qualification (Level 3)
Good written and verbal communication skills.
IT Literate – including the use of Microsoft Office and some administration skills and experience
First Aid certificate (or a willingness to undertake training)
Experience of driving a minibus (or prepared to undertake assessment)
Experience of working in Supported housing or similar and delivery of Supporting services
Experience in the delivery of guidance, assessment and 1:1 counselling
