YMCA deliver a range of programmes and services that tackle issues facing local people and ensure there are opportunities for young people throughout our work from apprentices, to work experience, and childcare to youth work. We work with all ages, faiths, backgrounds and have served the communities in Hertfordshire for over 127 years.
We lead a range of youth work sessions across Watford, Three Rivers, St Albans, Welwyn, Hatfield and Stevenage to help young people gain support and advice in a safe environment, whilst having fun, learning to lead healthy lifestyles and make informed decisions.
We look to work with young people to support them to:
- belong through accessing our generic youth provision which is based at a number of sites and open to all young people
- contribute through engaging in our projects which are more activity based and work with a smaller group of young people
- thrive by working more intensively with a youthworker either through mentoring, volunteering or an apprenticeship
