A renewed focus on improving digital solutions will lead to us moving over 80% of our paper-based processes to online solutions. We’re going to be increasing awareness and knowledge of our IT systems and processes, giving staff the confidence to deliver. By digitising customer and beneficiary journeys we will improve stakeholder satisfaction enabling staff to do more and better together!
Latest highlights (Apr-June 2023)
We have improved and embedded new digital solutions through 60 hours of staff training and awareness raising, and monthly ‘phishing’ emails to improve our cyber security. We have continued to move additional teams’ shared drives onto the cloud helping us do more and better together!
Following our review at the Mission 25 Summit in April, we’ve rebased our objectives for Going Digital and split our aims into three focus areas.
We’re going to be increasing awareness and knowledge of our IT systems and processes, giving you the confidence to deliver. We’re aiming to do this by providing a central location with the information you need, when you need it, as well as the key individuals to contact for information on our IT systems. We’re also going to be providing training guides, quick help guides, cyber security information and communicating more frequently with you, keeping you updated on the progress we’re making.
Improve the Digital Journey for internal & external users. We hope to achieve this by removing the VPN and migrating those users who are still reliant upon Charter House servers to Microsoft 365, which provides access to One YMCA files & folders over the Internet. We’re looking to implement Single Sign On, allowing you to use your One YMCA network credentials to access 3rd party systems, removing the need to remember multiple usernames and passwords. We’re also looking to provide a better experience for our residents who use computers in our hostels, ensuring that they are safe and secure.
Improve staff satisfaction as shown in the annual IT survey. We’re going to be reviewing the previous survey in detail and acting on your feedback where we’re able to. We’re also going to be sending more frequent surveys, as your feedback is key in shaping what we do.
