Peer Champion

A peer champion is someone who is trained in Mental Health First Aid to have awareness around mental health. This is for those aged 11 to 16 and is for someone who wants to create an environment in their school, youth club, or an activity that will help young people to be open and talk about mental health, and be supported by a Peer Champion.

To be a peer champion it requires training of 8 weeks, one training session a week. Following on with support from group mentoring. Once you have completed the training and a number of group mentoring sessions there will be a final celebration and awards for all that you have achieved.
