In partnership One YMCA, Dens, and Haven First are offering welfare support to 140 vulnerable people who have been placed in temporary accommodation across 17 locations in Hertfordshire.
These people all have a different story, but many are facing feelings of isolation, mental health struggles, and uncertain futures.
All staff and volunteers have been expertly trained and supported to deliver this service safely and with care.
We are working closely with North Herts District Council, East Herts District Council, Dacorum Borough Council and Hertsmere Borough Council to deliver this support, and have been funded by Public Health and Adult Care services in Hertfordshire County Council.
How we can help
Clients are invited to an initial one to one meeting where we get to know them and provide a welfare check to ensure all their needs are being supported
After the initial face to face meeting, we invite clients to weekly welfare follow ups by their choice of video call, telephone or email
