Guy Foxell (CEO)
What is your background?
I’ve worked for One YMCA since Valentine’s Day 2011 and previously worked at The Salmon Youth Centre.
What are your main day to day responsibilities?
Acting as the link between the Strategic Vision of the Trustee Board and the brilliant operational successes delivered by our Senior Leadership Team
What is your ambition?
To do more and better together, so that we double our impact for 2025
What are your personal interests?
Fun with the FoxCubs, the great outdoors (especially on a bicycle), community and church
Rob Clark (Chief Finance Officer)
What is your background?
I joined One YMCA on 1st February having just left the world of start-ups. I am an accountant with plenty of financial, operational and commercial experience.
What are your main day to day responsibilities?
Looking after the Finance Team, supporting the other areas of the business and all aspects of the Charities finances.
What is your ambition?
To provide an unbelievable service to the other areas of the business so they don’t have to worry about the finances, allowing them to do what they are good at.
What are your personal interests?
Being South African, I am passionate about wildlife, sport, the outdoors and food.
Euan Courtney-Morgan (Director of Place & Environment)
What is your background?
Possess a degree in Architecture with over 10 years of experience in delivering projects from inception to completion, advising clients on matters of design, buildability, sustainability, value for money and delivering strategic property and estate strategies, sustainability policies, building standards and short to long-term asset strategies. Leading on the delivery of projects ranging from £15m – £650m.
What are your main day to day responsibilities?
Developing a masterplan and property strategy that sets out how we shall transform our estate over the next 5 years, making sure the estate is safe, and compliant and delivers for all stakeholders and customers and ensuring capital projects such as Peartree and Charter House are realised and redeveloped.
What is your ambition?
I want to see One YMCA lead the way in delivering sector-leading facilities and buildings, whilst delivering on net-zero / sustainability and Making the most of our estate and ensuring that it delivers for all of its users.
What are your personal interests?
I simply love sailing and will often be found in the water!
Catherine Hook (Director of Housing & Community)
What is your background?
I have been a housing professional for over 30 years in the sector and have worked with One YMCA since 2013
What are your main day to day responsibilities?
Overseeing the operations of the Housing Service
Michael Howe (Director of Central Services, Quality & Impact)
What is your background?
I’ve worked for One YMCA since January 2020 and previously I worked for Families First Bedfordshire
What are your main day to day responsibilities?
Delivering on the fundraising strategy for the Charity as well as overseeing all business development activity such as researching, bidding and mobilising new contracts. Fundraising includes individual giving, corporate sponsorship, campaigns and events in addition to securing grant income from trusts and foundations. Mission 25 is also a large part of my role where I support Ambassadors in delivering on their ambitions to double our impact over the next 5 years.
What is your ambition?
My ambition is play an active role in how One YMCA will be developing over the next five years. I want to deliver on a new and exciting fundraising and business development strategy which will support frontline professionals in achieving the best possible outcomes for the people we support.
What are your personal interests?
In my spare time I play a number of different instruments including piano and saxophone. I’ve just started a masters degree in charity leadership which keeps me incredibly busy in addition to being the Chair of Governors at my sons school.
Mark Turner (Chief Operating Officer)
What is your background?
I started working for One YMCA a little over 18 months (March 2019). Before then I worked for an independent supported housing provider in the Midlands, specialising in providing accommodation and support to rough sleepers and homeless individuals with complex needs (inc offending and substance misuse backgrounds) and those with learning disabilities.
What are your main day to day responsibilities?
To support, encourage and say thanks (a lot !) to our absolutely amazing Housing, Homelessness Prevention, Gym & Community HUB, Early Years Nursery, Property Services, Construction & Development and Marketing Teams – they really do all do an amazing job !
What is your ambition?
To be the sector leading organisation and provider of choice for everything we do, for our commissioners, our teams, our communities and of course every single person we support !
What are your personal interests?
Staying energised, fit (and apparently occasionally annoyingly bouncy) with an awful lot of running, cycling and climbing !
