High Wycombe Hostel

Purpose

High Wycombe Hostel offers housing for men and women over 18. We take people by self-referral or from outside services and offer emergency provision for 28 nights, through 4 council beds.

We offer short and longer-term housing. Residents begin their time with us in one of 73 rooms, each with a kitchenette and shared showers and toilets. After a settling period, residents may move to one of our bedsits, where they can stay for up to 18 months in total. We work closely with the integrated offender management team across Buckinghamshire, as well as working with TVP and probation services. Our team works directly with the prison service to conduct telephone assessments for release accommodation.

A safe place to sleep is only the beginning. Our experienced staff offer guidance and signposting for relevant support. We offer resettlement advice and mental health support, as well as drug and alcohol support. We also work with service users who have complex needs. Our Chaplaincy team provides spiritual and emotional support to both residents and staff.

Facilities

As well as a safe space to sleep High Wycombe Hostel has a resident’s lounge, which offers a resident’s café four days a week. We have a meeting room and IT suite, as well as laundry facilities, free car parking and large spacious gardens. Although we are not a catered hostel, we receive donations of food from support agencies and supermarkets.

The hostel is within walking distance of the local supermarket, cinema, and rural areas, as well as being close to transport links.
